About this site

David G. Riggs is a career criminal who has been breaking laws and conning people since he was 17. He has hurt many and robbed many. Somehow, he continues to get away with it. David G. Riggs is also a pilot. By many accounts he isn’t a very good one but he manages to pass himself off to various aviation groups and governments and business people as one of the best out there. He has pulled dangerous stunts both in and out of the plane. He has endangered lives and ruined many more. He has made his money by cheating investors and passing the blame.

While there is a lot of information out there it’s all very scattered. Some coming from Atlanta, some from Kansas City, Florida, South Africa, Hong Kong, China. Riggs has left his mark worldwide but it’s not a mark that any responsible honest citizen would be proud of.

Through it all he’s managed to “pass the buck” and blame everyone but himself and perhaps that is his best con of all.

This site has the express purpose of gaining all public information that can be documented and proven under one umbrella. With over 150 lawsuits against him the information needs to be somewhere. Perhaps at some point the right eyes will see it and someone with the authority will finally decide to do the right thing and make sure that Riggs is taken out of the sky and out of the general public where he can no longer hurt people, rob them, take advantage of them or steal from them.

From stealing tvs to insurance and securities fraud. From cheating investors to stealing ivory and rhino horns it is time that someone took the “Rhino Cowboy” to task.

His L39 is no longer registered in Canada. Per the government website it was cancelled. I wonder if he is still licensed there also? Hmmmmmmmmm?

  2. Buck says:

Convicted felons can’t just cross the border into Canada. Customs will turn them away. I wonder if anything was asked on his Canadian pilots application about criminal background? Hmmmmmmmmmm?

    • admin says:

I was told (but haven’t verified) that if a pilot license gets revoked here, the Canadians would immediately revoke it there … not sure how they find out though.

And yes, you do have to reveal if you are a convicted felon if you are planning to go in to Canada…I doubt he told them though.

Google- Civil Aviation Transport Canada – Canadian civil aircraft registry – search history- L39C – GFSH Serial#433134 – Registration was cancelled – Youth Aviation of Canada

oh yeah, that’s the black one with the skull. He moved that one a long time ago. The one he has here that was at Van Nuys (not sure if it still is) is N139CK

  4. Joe D says:

Looks like David expired in a plane crash in China.

  5. Rich N says:

Found your site linked from an LA Times article regarding the China crash. Sounds like he was a troubled person to say the least. One question I can’t seem to find an answer to:

What is your motivation for this site? is it to warn folks about this guy? or did he do something to you a while back? or other reason? just curious…

    • admin says:

As stated from the beginning the purpose of the site was: Perhaps at some point the right eyes will see it and someone with the authority will finally decide to do the right thing and make sure that Riggs is taken out of the sky and out of the general public where he can no longer hurt people, rob them, take advantage of them or steal from them.

The authorities were doing nothing, so yes, I wanted to warn people before they got involved with him in business and lost money, or worse got in a plane with him and lost their life. In that, I obviously failed.

  6. MV says:

    yeah, but good effort, friend.

  7. DC43 says:

Now that Riggs has been dealt with by fate, wanna focus your inter-rage on helping us bring a fugitive to justice for DUI felony hit and run and leaving him for dead?

  8. ryan says:

if your american licence is revoked -your canadian is as well-no question about this-then if canadian you lose the entire commonwealth. british, aussie etc.

  9. mdspiney says:

I would like to see Admin actually answer Rich N’s question. What did this guy Riggs do to you personally? No one goes through this much trouble unless they have been wronged.

    • admin says:

Absolutely nothing. I had not even met him when the site was started. I was disgusted by the fact that after pulling that stupid stunt at Santa Monica they were going to feature him at Camarillo (that was before the UARC stuff even happened). Then I found out about all his criminal activity and the illegal L-39 flights and I knew that more people were going to end up dead if the authorities didn’t stop him. I was right.

      • Steve says:

To mdspiney’s point, there is *no way* that someone invests this much time if they (or an associate) haven’t been wronged in some way. If this is NOT the case, then I’m going to suggest that you have a bit too much time on your hands (47%)…

        • admin says:

A LOT of people were wronged. I chose to at least try to be their voice. And honestly, he was so damn obvious about everything it didn’t really take all that much time. Not to mention all the victims who assisted me with information and helping me go in the right direction.
